Below are some Frequently Asked Questions I receive.
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
I got you!!! I will pose you and give you prompts and you'll look like a natural!
What is the process to book?
Once you’re ready to book, complete the form, and I will be get back to you as soon as possible. I will reach out via text and we can set up our exact time, place etc. To officially book I will send over a contract and ask for a non-refundable retainer fee of $50. You have 48 hours to pay or your spot is released. After this, you are good for your agreed upon date and time!
How many photos will I receive?
I return majority of the photos I take, I do not cap the number. An hour session can easily give you 100+ photos! I do also include some black and white.
When and how will I get my photos?
Turn around time is roughly 3-4 weeks, especially during busy season it can take me a bit, but I try to be as honest as possible. However, I do offer rush edits for full galleries, the price does vary depending on how quickly and the length of shoot. Please let me know if this is something you are wanting!
I will send a link via Pixieset that will allow you to share and download photos from the album to your phone/computer. I do NOT recommend screenshotting them. The album will be kept for a few months then has the liability to be deleted.
Where will I take photos?
I have a location guide that is sent after booking filled with locations I have previously shot at! From there we will decide what is the best option!
Are you available outside of DFW?
I am always willing to travel! Just be aware extra fees will apply as I would need to cover the cost of the travel (and stay if needed).
What is the best time to shoot?
Really most of the day!! I personally love early mornings or an hour or 2 before sunset. With daylight savings and seasons this time frame is ever-changing. However, I do recommend nothing outdoor from 11am-2pm just because of the typical harsher lighting, that occurs in that time frame, but indoor should be just fine. For indoor, unless there's other great light sources, I don't recommend any time there isn't lots of natural daylight.
What should I wear?
Upon booking you will receive an outfit guide with tips, things to include or avoid!
Do you refund the retainer fee?
I typically view the circumstances for the cancelation and generally will look at postponing rather than refunding. However, understand- this is up to my discretion. I have specifically set my time aside for your shoot and when it is, especially a last minute cancelation, it has prevented me from shooting someone in your place- therefore I am missing out on other opportunities. Please be mindful and try to cancel with as much notice as possible, but I am aware life happens and I will work with you!
Do you shoot indoor/at a studio?
Yes! I definitely will say natural light is always a plus, but I can use lighting equipment if needed or flash. Just know this can have a different outcome on the final photos as natural lighting is far different from flash. Regardless a studio shoot can definitely be done, I just ask that the cost is covered by you. (It is usually $70-90 per hour rental but this does vary depending on the studio.)
What happens if we booked an outdoor shoot and the weather is bad?
I typically will try and see if there's a plan B we can agree on. If not, I am open to trying to postpone and schedule you elsewhere- just be aware this could be more challenging depending on both of our availabilities.
Can you edit this?
I typically try and steer clear of any body altering editing. A typical pimple, scratch, or stray hair, I am fine with removing. Because of the mass amount of pictures I do give back it is preferred not to have to specifically edit the same thing in each picture. It is very important to be mindful of bra straps, panty lines, ect. when selecting your outfits, please have or wear the appropriate undergarments. I do try to pick 30 or so and focus the most on those. But if you ever receive a photo with something you dislike- just let me know and I can always try my best to edit it to your liking!
